Tennis Scotland have teamed up with kit-house to produce official Aegon Team Tennis clothing. Rubislaw hoodies, t-shirts and ladies tops along with junior clothing can be purchased using the link below. Please ask for Rubislaw to be printed on the back when ordering.
Rubislaw Nominated for Club of the Year 2012
Rubislaw LTC has been shortlisted for the 2012 Tennis Scotland Awards, in the Club of the Year category, along with St Andrews LTC and Newlands LTC.
Nominations were recieved online from across the Scottish tennis community and these nominationswere then shortlisted by a team consisting of the Tennis Scotland staff and representitives from the Tennis Scotland Board and Council.
Rubislaw Mini Tennis Members Success
Congratulations to Cameron Jappy who won the NESLTA Mini Tennis Orange event at Westburn Tennis Centre. Cameron defeated Alford's Ewan Smith 2-7 7-2 7-3 in a closely contested final.
Other Rubislaw Mini Tennis members in action included Benjamin Hine who reached the final of the Mini Red competition before losing to Alford's Ewan Smith, and Jamie Connel who reached the Green competition final before losing to Angus Edward from Cults.

2012 AGM
The Annual General Meeting will be held in the clubhouse on Wednesday 24th October at 7:30pm. All members and parents of junior members are welcome to attend. Refreshements will be available.
Finals Day
The 2012 Annual Club Championships finished on Saturday 1st September. All finals were enjoyed by a number or spectators who had come along to cheer on the players.
Congratulations to all the winners, and a big thanks to all those who took part and made the competition a great success.

North East Open Winner
Congratulations to Bruce Strachan who successfully defended his Stewart Milne Group North East Open mens singles title. Bruce who didn't drop a set throughout the tournament, beat Steven Birrell 6-0 6-2 in the final. Bruce also won the mens and mixed doubles titles.
Rubislaw NESLTA Confined
The annual Rubislaw Confined tournament took place between Sunday the 10th June and Saturday 16th June . There was a great entry in all four competitions, which led to some exciting matches played throughout the week.

U14 Road to Wimbledon
Nineteen under 14 year old boys competed in the Rubislaw Road to Wimbledon event on Sunday 13th May. Congratulations to Samuel Stead who was the eventual winner beating Connor McMahon 5-3 1-4 10-6 in the final.
Adult and Junior Tournaments
There are a number of upcoming local tournaments in the Aberdeen area for both Juniors and Adults.

Annual Club Championships 2012
The annual club championship draws have now been made. Thanks to everyone who has entered to make this the biggest ever draw. It is great to see so many people supporting the club tournament and playing competitive tennis. Good luck to all those involved!

Aegon Team Tennis 2012 - British Playoffs
The Rubislaw mens team beat Stirling University at Rubislaw on Saturday the 31st March in the Scottish Playoff.
Rubislaw will now represent Scotland in the Great British playoffs.

Aegon Team Tennis 2012 - Scottish Playoff
The Rubislaw mens team will play Stirling University at Rubislaw on Saturday the 31st March. The winner of the match will then go on to represent Scotland in the Grat British wide Aegon Team Tennis competition.
Please come along and support the guys and hopefully watch some exciting matches.
University of Stirling Grand Prix 2012
Rubislaw member, Bruce Strachan reached the quarter finals of the University of Stirling Grand Prix. In the 1st round he beat Martin Smith 6-0 6-2 and in the last 16 he beat Scottish Boys 18u champion, Jack Paterson 6-3 6-2. In the quarter final Bruce had a fascinating physical encounter with Joe Gill of Stirling University 2.1 rating) eventually losing 3-6 7-5 6-4. Bruce's serve was broken at 4-5 down in the final set but despite losing he was pleased with his week.
Alan McDonald(Thistle) won the final beating Richard Emulins (Stirling University) 6-3 6-2.
Rubislaw Achieves Clubmark Accreditation
Congratulations to all those who have been involved in helping Rubislaw achieve Clubmark accreditation. To celebrate there was an event held at the club on Saturday the 5th November. It was great to see so many members including juniors enjoying some fun games, great food including a BBQ & cake and the presentation of our Clubmark award from Kirsty McRae (Tennis Scotland). A great event was finished off with an excellent fireworks display. Thanks to all those who helped make the afternoon so successful.
